The Nanaimo Shipyard, Halifax is a fairly new component of the NSG, yet its reputation already precedes it.  Not only does the NSH concentrate on similar projects as its parent shipyard in Nanaimo, it also has a vertical marketwith the Canadian Government, specifically the Navy, by embracing marine contracts where ships require reclamation, decommissioning, as well as mould, asbestos, PCB (and other organic pollutants), and fuel remediation.  This specialized company is highly skilled to deal with waste management, places a top priority on environmental protection, and thus is actively involved in ongoing government contracts of this nature.
